Expert Sewer Line Repair in Peoria
When your home’s sewer line needs repair, the symptoms might be obvious. In extreme cases, a damaged sewer line might lead to sewage backing up into your home. Or, it could produce some awful smells since the sewer line isn’t effectively carrying waste away. The problem, though, is that sewer lines aren’t something you can inspect and repair yourself.
Instead, you need a professional with advanced imaging technology to peer into the line and find the problem. And when the damaged or blocked section of the pipe isn’t easily accessible, it takes special tools to make repairs. For example, if there’s a blockage halfway into your sewer line, we might employ hydro-jetting to clear it. That can remove even the most stubborn clog without harming your sewer line itself.
Look for the following symptoms that may indicate the need for sewer line repairs.
- Water pooling outside home
- Unusually lush grass growth
- Gurgling sounds from drains
- Slow-flushing toilets
- Influx of pests
In many cases, even a badly damaged sewer line is salvageable through a trenchless sewer line repair. However, if there’s damage to multiple parts of your sewer line, a sewer line replacement may be required. Depending on the nature of the damage, we may recommend a traditional pipe replacement or a trenchless sewer line replacement. The former involves digging up the damaged pipe and installing a new one in its place. The latter works like a trenchless repair, except that it results in a complete lining of the whole sewer line.
For a trenchless replacement, we’ll dig an access hole to reach your sewer line. Then, we’ll insert an epoxy liner into the sewer line and inflate it to push it against the sides of the pipe. Then, depending on the specific liner material, we’ll heat it either with hot air or a special UV curing light. When the liner hardens, the result is an in-place replacement for your existing sewer line.
